Consumer Protection Notice- If you have a dispute with Erin aka Thomas Haltom here are some helpful links
Erin Haltom, Hurts Children and Consumers
Thomas Haltom is a sex offender that hurt little girls. Thomas then changed there name and is transgender. This adds a layer of complexity when your doing your do diligence in hiring them. So look both under Thomas and Erin Haltom. Additionally, they have operated out of a few different states. Most recently in Oregon and Washington.

They have since developed several businesses and specifically looking for loopholes to avoid any license that requires a background check. There are a couple names their business goes by such at TC Tiny Homes and Bridgetown Tiny Homes.

Don't just take her word, verify. Take these steps to ensure your project goes smoothly and your protected:

Ask for their insurance. There will be a number and their policy number. Call them and verify they are insured for the type of project your wanting. Make sure their police is current.

Ask for their license. If she doesn't have one just know every business has a business license, most of the trades have them too. The sole exception is RV builders. Even they have ODOT Certification. There is some sort of state, agency, or city license required. Get that number and make sure its active.

Check the Better Business Bureau, there are two unresolved complaints as of this posting. This only tracks one company so if she changes the name it will come up as something else.

Hire an inspector. Erin has already stated that she welcomes inspectors so this should be easy. Do this prior to paying at any draws.

Lastly, ask for a bond equal to more than what your project is worth. A $20K bond is about $200. If she can even qualify for one you'll be paid out should she does not fulfill the contract. Again verify by calling the bonding company.

Just know she has a strong history of not doing things correctly and will likely make up excuses for why she can't do these simple steps that every legitimate company can do.
